Digital wellness and screen time coaching for modern busy families
Personalized support for families
Digital parenting is hard, and you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’ve spent nearly two decades in tech, talked with thousands of parents and educators through my nonprofit work (and counting), interviewed more than seventy leading experts, and still nerd out on the latest news and research, all so you don’t have to. I start with a free fifteen-minute assessment, then build a plan made for your family’s needs. I can be as hands-on as you need, every step of the way. Want to work as we go, or build your own plan? You can book sessions one-at-a-time here.
I will work with you to:
☑ Learn the basics on digital wellness, literacy, and AI
☑ Apply sensible tech boundaries, parental control solutions, and house rules
☑ Create media and device plans for your family
☑ Troubleshoot and adapt as your kids grow

This one is important, as this is not therapy. I’m a certified digital wellness educator and my focus is teaching you to make your own informed choices. This is coaching, based on my extensive experience in the tech industry, my over seventy expert interviews, and my work in my digital wellness nonprofit. I will not tell you what to do; rather, I will help you define what you want to do and how to implement it. If your family’s situation is extreme, I can refer you to a licensed therapist who can help with digital media overuse or extreme problematic behavior or dependence.

My work is foundational, meaning I will work to give you the knowledge you need to implement change on your own. I believe in giving kids age-appropriate tech so that you don’t have to manage as much. That said, while I won’t come to your house and set up your controls, I can refer you to guides to make it easy and help you with other workarounds. We will mostly focus on creating healthier habits and more physical barriers rather than relying on the controls. Remember, the parental control is a retrofit for an adult product.

It’s never too late to build healthier habits or reverse course if you have introduced something that just doesn’t work. I’ll work with you and your family to create manageable steps for lasting change.

Yes! While I am personally a slow tech parent with a digital minimalist approach, I am never anti-tech and use tech daily in my marketing and nonprofit work. I can still help you set boundaries and manage your family’s tech use even if you’ve said yes to smartphones and social media early. My personal approach and opinions don’t matter. Every family can make their own choices and have their own approach and preferences.

I've spent nearly two decades in the social media marketing industry, which is exactly why I know how these platforms are built to capture attention. I also spent over a decade as a college-level instructor before turning my focus to parents and schools. I co-founded DopaMind, a digital wellness nonprofit, where I developed and proved the effectiveness of our curriculum now used by major public school districts and well-known independent schools across the U.S. I've interviewed more than seventy experts, spoken to thousands of parents and educators. My experience culminated in writing the expert-celebrated The Tech Parenting Rulebook: 100 Simple Rules for Raising Digitally Healthy Kids. Everything I teach comes from that work, never just my own opinion. You can learn more about me here.

I've worked with parents of kids at every age, from toddlers and preschoolers through high school. I understand the concerns at each age, and tailor my material and advice accordingly.

Coaching sessions are for you, the parent. If you'd rather work through this together with your kids, that's what the Family Home School is built for. You can learn more or book here.

I’ll give you tips on how to introduce change so it feels cooperative, not punitive. I work within an authoritative parenting mindset, which means you are in charge, but with mutual respect and cooperation involved in your interactions with your kids. I’ll help you learn the tools and language to present change to your kids with humility.
